LEADERSHIP

Annalisa Rinetti

Founder and CEO

Born and raised in Italy, I was introduced to my first form of art when I was about four years old and i started taking ballet classes. In third grade, we had to move for the third time since I was born because of my father's job and while my brother has some bitter memories of that time, in my mind, it's all foggy except for the happiness of my ballet classes.

A year later, we moved back to the small city outside Milan where I grew up and since ballet wasn't as great there, I started playing the flute.

Music became a loyal companion, an oasis of peace, a safe heaven where I could run away from being mocked in school or mistreated by my brother.

It required countless hours of practice, discipline, hard work and dedication, but none of that mattered so long as I was playing.

When I started college, one of the seniors recommended that I took acting classes to overcome my stage fright and considering I was studying to become and interpreter, being able to speak in front of an audience was a must.

Acting was without a doubt the discipline that forced me to face my demons. I had to dig deep inside to be on stage with my fellow thespians and because of it, I realized I had a number of issues... which I decided to lock in the furthest corner of my soul in order to go on and pretend I had a great life.

Only almost 10 years and 2 miscarriages later would I find the courage to go to therapy. And while it saved my life and healed a great deal of wounds, it is still the hardest thing I have done in my life.

So in 2014, as I was driving in the infamous L.A. traffic, I wondered how different my life would have been had a therapist held my hand through my emotions as a child going to ballet classes and expressing my feelings through movement, or as a teenager pouring my emotions into my music, or even more so, as a young adult looking at my issues straight in the face and shooing them away.

In that very moment, the vision was clear as day in my mind and Lasting Impressions came to life.
